Actors Gymnasium Circus and Performing Arts School

Coach August 2018-Present

Teach 4-10 year olds basic gymnastics, body awareness, introductory movement and sequences on trapeze, silks, rope, lyra, and spanish web.  Also tightwire, juggling, globe, stilts.

 

Writers Theatre

Education Coordinator, August 2017-June 2018 Lead Teaching Artist, August 2017-Present

Coordinated The Novel Series in 34 CPS classrooms with 10 teaching artists. Managed and collaborated on curriculum, and collaborated with classroom teachers to meet goals and challenges for their students for The Novel Series. Also, currently, teach and write arts integrated lesson plans for residencies in CPS.

Emerald City Theatre School

Education Intern, February 2014-May 2014 Teaching Artist, June 2014-Present

Teach 3.5-13 year olds about actor tools; voices, bodies, and imagination through games, songs, dances, and mini productions. Introduces and encourages ensemble building.

 

Chicago Children’s Theatre

Teaching Artist, Curriculum Author February 2016-June 2017

Taught fifth and seventh graders about the different elements of theatre through games, discussion, and hands on activities.

 

American Theatre Company

T.A. Apprentice, Lead Teaching Artist Winter 2014 & Winter 2016

Taught the technical side of theatre as well as direct freshman high school students in a scene. Encouraging creativity, confidence, and collaboration through discussion and activities about lights, sound, costume, props, set and performance.

Taught fourth through eighth graders creative writing through various theatre games, storytelling activities, group and individual writing.

 

Denver School of the Arts

Guest Artist, December 2015

Advised the graduating seniors on their college admission monologues through questioning of circumstances, encouraging them to raise stakes, and discussed basic audition etiquette.

 

After School Matters

Writing Workshop Presenter, July 2015

Taught 21 high school students about the inner workings of editing self-written scenes. Highlighted the topics of tone, who’s story is it, who are you talking to, tension, and what it means to ask the important question in a play.
